Do you have a life insurance?
Oops, before you think of anything else, this is NOT a paid entry okay?
I am just curious about it. Do you have one? When did you start paying for one?
I got one around 2003. But my mom’s medical bills and tuitions fees were more important in budgeting, paying the premiums got bumped off again and again. I opted to discontinue the insurance instead.
This year, I am turning 30 already by August. No life insurance. No health insurance. Just the other day, I woke up after an hour of sleep thinking about my situation. I don’t know if I should get one now and end up with a high amortization amount and smaller surrender value or just save every extra penny I have for the future.
What do you think?
Happy weekend everyone! Enjoy the sun

nangyari din ito sa amin nuon, sayang mga payments ko, pero nung makaluwag-luwag kumuha ulit kami. higher amortization na nga lang pero i really believe in life insurance eh, kaya eto hulog-hulog na naman

I would suggest you go for a term life insurance instead of whole life insurance. Term life insurance doesn’t have a cash surrender value but offers lower premium rates thus allowing you to save/invest your money on investments with higher yields.
Whole life insurance, on the other hand, has a cash surrender value but requires higher premium payments, thus tying your money down on an “investment” with a relatively low rate of return.
Between the two, I would go for term life insurance. In fact, that’s what I have. May I suggest that you also do your own research on this matter. But term life is the way to go especially for a person in your situation. I hope this comment helped. Take care.

yeah, I have life insurance, sis … not that big. but i guess it’s enough. FOR NOW. ewan ko lang after a couple or so of years.

i suggest you just save any extra money nalang. who knows … maybe those ‘coins’ might amount to a million before you know it!
but of course, that’s your personal decision.
blessed sunday, sis!

Thank you for the suggestion Panaderos. I really appreciate it. I have never looked into term insurance before. I will now. Thanks again!
