Filed under Blog award I lost two members of my immediate family to cancer. My brother died of leukemia about 10 years ago. My mom died of a rare form of kidney disease more than 2 years ago. It was a form of cancer that took my mother’s kidneys. Both deaths were devastating to the family. If there were alternative cancer treatments available for the both of them, we would have grabbed the opportunity to get it. But unfortunately, that kind of treatment was not available locally.

Filed under FYI Two of my teen neighbors went to our home yesterday to ask if we have some leotards here that they can borrow for a dance in school that they will be performing in by next week. Unfortunately, we do not have any leotards left because when we had our house renovated, all the old clothes that we have were given away to relatives who asked for it.
