I am surfing the net to look for light fixtures for our home. I am not happy with the light fixtures that we have right now. When the light fixtures were bought, I was out of the house and my dad just said yes to the person who bought these fixtures. We had to make do with what was bought but now, after more than a year, I am ready to buy a replacement.
I am looking at bathroom light fixtures because the one we have right now is too dim. I don’t really want something that is too bright and too big but somewhere in between. I found one that I like at Farreys.com and I believe it will complement the other bathroom fixtures that I bought.
The same goes for the kitchen light fixtures that I am looking for. I want a pendant-like lighting above our dining table. There are times when you don’t feel like telling some things to your siblings. You just want to be a bit more you and a less more of an older sister. This happens to me from time to time. And I thank my girl friends who are there, with whom I can talk to when I feel like being other than an older sister

A neighbor’s mom is suffering from dementia. They hid it well, but then I am close to one of them so I was given the “chance” to be privy to what is happening in their home. The mom has been going in and out of treatment centers. There are lucid moments, very brief, but it would come and go. Like it never really happened. They did not see the dementia symptoms until it was too late. They thought she was just too tired to do the chores she was doing before. I remember always seeing their home clean and organized. Then all of a sudden, she just couldn’t finish the tasks anymore.
In understanding dementia, you should know that there are various symptoms. Not just with the household chores. There are too many symptoms that it is better to consult experts before jumping to conclusions. With my neighbor, they also noticed a sudden disinterest in eating. I have no plans this weekend except reading. I was originally planning to go to Baguio with Shen, asking her out of the blue if she would like to go. But the typhoons coming and going, I would rather stay put and have a quiet weekend with the family.
We will just likely do a dvd marathon tonight.

My cousin has a computer shop cum internet cafe built near their place of residence. It is a big hit when he opened it until now. His shop is the only one in at least six blocks of their area. My grandma lost her footing about two weeks ago and sprained her right ankle. Because of her condition, coupled with her diabetes, she is finding it hard to walk for the past few days now. We had to buy her disposable diapers that she can use so as to avoid putting too much pressure on her sprained ankle. I am worried about her condition because the sprained ankle is okay, I mean it will heal right away. But the diabetes complicated the matter. I need to be able to bring her to the hospital to have her checked again. Sigh.

It will be one of my best girl friend’s 30th birthday this coming September 17th. Shen is like a family member already. She’s like a sister to me. She is close to my siblings as well and she calls my dad “daddy”, too. She’s been my friend for more than 16 years now. I am thinking of giving her Akoya pearls for her birthday. Of course, I will ask my sisters to chip in =)
In all honesty, I have a few close friends left from way, way back. I have been through rough times in the past and have weeded out the false friends I met along the way. I intend to keep the true ones like Shen.
