When we had our house renovated a couple of months ago, I did not let the contractor touch the kitchen and bathrooms. First off, I did not have any idea back then what I want for the kitchen and the bathroom. Plus, I did not have the budget required for an additional room.
Well now, I have a clear idea of what I want to be done with the bathroom. I am looking at discount bathroom vanity cabinets that I want inside the bathroom. What we do right now is just bring a towel inside when we take a bath. What I want in the future is for us to get a towel inside the bathroom directly. A vanity cabinet will be for that very purpose. As I have said in some posts in this blog, our family loves to have relatives over at our home. It is tradition in our family to celebrate birthdays of each family member. So it is safe to say that we love entertaining guests at home. I am saving for the kitchen and bathrooms to be renovated. For the kitchen, I already have a cohesive plan and one that will now blend with the overall theme of the house. A few months back, I had our house renovated except for the kitchen and bathrooms. Both due to budget constraints and lack of solid plan.

Smackdown! That’s what it felt like seeing the green in the PR toolbar down to 2. I guess it is better than slapped with a 0, right? I should be thankful. And in my convoluted way, I am thankful. Better than last time when I got downright crazy when I thought I was slapped totally.
Anyway, we are off to visit my mom’s grave today. Today is her 3rd death anniversary. Hay. I miss my mom’s hamonado, sinampalukang manok, pinakbet, paksiw na pata, chicken tocino and so many more of her dishes. I miss her crazy sense of humor just like mine. I miss her goofiness. I miss her paglalambing. I miss talking to her about what’s bothering me. I miss her weird way of remembering everyone’s birthdays.
Oh well, this is life.

Not everyone is used to traveling. My brother, when he was younger, would often puke while inside the car even going to just another city. He hated being jolted in his seat. I have a neighbor here with whom I literally grew up with. I know him, his family and almost everything about him. I am not really a sociable person here in the neighborhood but he is an exception. I know that right now, he is having issues with his family. He wanted to move out since five years ago but his parents are adamant that he stay at home until he gets married. The problem with the latter is that, he is not really keen on settling down. At work, his boss is getting a chunk out of him daily. Lambasting him for no reason except that he is the choice of the headquarters to represent their team in a global conference to be presided over by the company’s BIG boss. I know how tired he is and stressed out over his life at home and at work. So during weekends, I let him stay at our house to just hang out. Lately though, he found that he likes to play online blackjack a lot. So I let him be.
I say, play some games and unwind! There is more to life than just work and problems, okay?

I have numerous post-its in front of me. My laptop is open almost the whole day. But do you know that I was not able to accomplish that much because I was distracted. It was a good distraction, though. I just have so many things in my mind. Not like the other day when I needed assurances. This time, last 2005, my mom was struggling to live. She just waited for my brother’s birthday to pass before she finally had to rest. My brother’s birthday is tomorrow, 26th. On September 27, 2005 we rushed my mom to the hospital. September 29, 2005 at exactly 9:30AM, my mom passed away. She was in a coma the whole time she was in the hospital…
Maybe, that was the reason I was distracted. In my subconscious, I am remembering my mom. Meron bang ganon? Oh well, thanks to the theme-tweaking I did, I am more focused now. I still have a lot of things to do later. It’s already 3:28AM here in Manila now. I have to get some sleep.

Believe it or not, I know how to cook. And in those rare occasions that I do cook, I know my family loves what I prepared. I love cooking ginisang ampalaya, omelet, adobo and anything fried.
