Event for all

Friday, October 31st, 2008

I know for a fact that when moms go to a party, they would want their kids with them. They would want to be able to bring their kids and all of them will have fun together. I have been around enough mothers to know this for a fact. So when my sister told me about the Los Angeles Company Picnic that she heard from her friend, I just know I found the best event that I can recommend to a client of mine.

According to the information I gathered, Event Solutions is the company behind the LA and Orange County Company Picnic. The company is well-versed when it comes to organizing events that will bring adults and kids together. They can organize a whole event for you from scratch. No need to lift a finger. All you have to do is tell them what your specifications are and they will take care of everything. Do you need to send out flyers for your event? They can do that for you as well.

You might be in need of an event planner for this coming Thanksgiving celebrations. Or for your company team building. Go ahead and get the services of EventSolutions.com, your Los Angeles Event Planning provider.

More procession photos…

Our little Hazel goes wherever we go. No matter if we are going to my mom’s grave or to the grocery store, she’s always with us. And she actually sleeps here at home since her little sister was born. She’s my dad’s darling little baby :)

Here are three more photos of her last October 12, our town’s feast day.

Because it was unbearably hot that day, she was thirsty even before the procession started.

Still waiting for the procession to start. And she’s ready with her candle.

She’s tirelessly walking with my dad, making sure her candle was lighted all the time.

Isn’t she just adorable? This little girl has given my family so much happiness for the past three years now. She’s helped us cope up with my mom’s death by making us smile and laugh with her antics.

The little girl just turned 3 last October 16. I will post her birthday photos in my next post :)

The natural way

Monday, October 27th, 2008

We went to SM North Edsa last Friday to watch HSM3 (more of this in my next post). We went to Watson’s and we noticed that their pharmacy section is filled with weight loss products. Xenical is the most prominent product that you can see. Has any one tried this product yet? My aunt tried it for a week and it was effective. She stopped it because of the effect it has on her. LBM. She goes to work and comes home really late so the LBM is a big hassle for her. She is actually encouraging me to try it because I work at home. But I would like to try it the natural way first.

Cost of grocery shopping

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Living comfortably these days require a lot of effort. You really need to work very, very hard to earn more than enough money to spend for yourself and your family. I know that. But the impact was so great yesterday when we went grocery shopping. I have limited resources these days, my savings just spent for the new desktop and some things my siblings needed. So you can imagine that the money I have left is really budgeted. Yesterday, I told my siblings that we should just buy the basic things we need at home. No food to be stored in the ref yet as we would just buy it this weekend when my next remittance comes in. But do you know that we still spent almost 5,000 pesos with those basic things we bought?

Just imagine if you are earning a minimum salary and you have more than two kids. How can you make both ends meet? We’re only talking about food here. What more if we include utilities and health care?

Body massages

Monday, October 27th, 2008

I am looking at the brochure my sister gave me. It’s a brochure of the spa that we both like to go to. There are different types of massage packages, facials, body scrubs, body wraps, pimple and even acne treatments. My sister promised that she will treat me to a whole body massage and body scrub. It’s her post birthday gift to me. Yey!

I enjoy full body massages. It eases the tension in my body and an aromatherapy massage helps in blood circulation if I am not mistaken. When I was still working, I make sure I get a massage at least once every two months. But now that I am working at home, I wait for my sister to treat me to one :)

Sigh of relief

Monday, October 27th, 2008

My grandmother asked me to go to her place because she had something to tell me. I expected the worse because she was so serious on the phone. My grandma has diabetes and she was recently plagued by flu. When I got to talk to her, I heaved a huge sigh of relief. She just wants me to pay her home insurance. It reminded me to check on ours. Sure enough, I need to pay ours as well. That would mean I’m off to do errands tomorrow.
