Exit signs

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Accidents happen, we all know that. Calamities, man-made disasters and other kind of emergencies happen when we least expect it. That’s why there are Exit Signs in almost every establishment, buildings, structures that we go to. Are you aware of those signs?

If there is a fire or earthquake or any other disturbance for that matter, we are always directed to use the fire exit. How do we know where the fire exit is in a building? Of course, there are Exit Signs in every door leading to the stairs. In emergencies, we cannot use the elevator. Thus, we see these Photoluminescent Exit Signs in buildings where there is always a door that, as I’ve said, leads to the stairs.

At ExitSigns.net, you can find different styles of Exit Signs. There is the Self Luminous Exit Signs, Photoluminescent and other signs that you can think of. They also offer Egress Systems. These are the signs that are normally stuck to the wall where there are fire extinguishers. You know, those red and white arrows.

If you are a building administrator and is looking to make your building a safe and well-prepared place when there are emergencies, go to ExitSigns.net and get the necessary signs for the fire exits and fire extinguishers and other emergency warning signs you need.

Goodbye January!

February is coming! Time is running away from us. I sometimes think that it is as if life is passing us by. Mine in particular. Nothing interesting is really happening in my life at the moment. Well, if you count the continuous worrying about tomorrow, that’s about it.

January has been a bit okay to me. Moderate in all that happened. I am praying that February will be a great month for me. There are so many things that I have to do this month. I am already mapping out the next 28 days. I just hope that everything will fall into place along the way…

*keeping my fingers crossed

Send her roses

Friday, January 30th, 2009

redrosesTime flies so fast! It’s already the 1st of February. Two weeks from now, it will be the big day for lovers all over the country. Valentine’s Day.

Everyone who has love to share can celebrate this day in any way they want. For men out there, how about sending her roses for valentines? Or for women who wants to be different, how about you send him flowers instead?

It is tradition for most couples to send/receive flowers on Valentine’s Day. Or chocolates and teddy bears. Are you prepared for this overly hyped occasion? Ready with your symbols of love for your special someone? Most men give their women red roses, to symbolize their undying love perhaps. It has become a symbol of love for most couples.

Anyway, for single women out there like me, we can also celebrate this love day with our friends. No need to wait for a man to ask you out on a date to make plans. You can start planning your day with friends who are single like you. I will be going out with a couple of girlfriends on that day. And a guy friend who’s also single like us will be going as well. Sounds like a fun day for me! With or without the red roses :)

Kindred spirit

When something happens at home, I always tell myself not to tell anyone outside the family about it. Nakakahiya kasi. Like what happened last Sunday. But when I talk to Tim, it is normal that I blurt out things that happen at home. In the same way that I am used to her telling me things happening in her home.

We’ve been friends since second year high school. 17 years now! She’s one of those persons you’d feel comfortable spilling your guts out to. We share the same interests. We are both bookworms. We spend hours talking about a book we both love. Around midnight until two in the morning today, we spent it talking about this unbelievable man and the songs he sang! Hehehe

Natuwa lang ako that I was able to tell someone things I normally would not share with other people :)

Templates galore!

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

I love looking at templates! Be it for blogs or office templates. I found a great web site that offers templates for people like me. Dream Template offers website templates, flash website templates, office templates and more. They have powerpoint templates and word templates. And mind you, they offer a variety of styles that are so beautiful! You only have to buy a membership and you are free to download as many of the templates you fancy as you like.

I like using word templates. I use it for my short stories. I love the ones offered in Dream Template. The web site offers around 500 word templates you can choose from. It will be really hard for me to choose my favorite because there are just too many to choose from!

Caught your interest? So what are you waiting for? Go to DreamTemplate.com and sign up. Pay the membership fee. After that, sign in and start downloading the template that catches your interest.

Going back soon…

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Worried again. Income is going down. My mind is thoroughly averse to the idea of going back to the corporate world but I don’t know if I can postpone it anymore. I am scouting for one. I found three.

You know what, if there is something I am confident about, it is my ability to get a decent job. I can do it. In fact, I know I won’t be starting from scratch again. The kind of profession I have does not necessarily mean that when you are out of the circulation for years (two in my case), you will start out as an entry-level worker again. You just have to update yourself with the latest in the rules and regulations and then you are good to go.

I just hope I find a job where I can grow as a person as well.

Fleet of cars

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Do you belong to a large family? Does each member of the family has a car? If you want to monitor where each member of the family goes, you can get a Fleet Tracking device. The Brickhouse Security’s Fleet Tracking uses GPS Tracking in cars. So you would know right away where each car is at any given time.

I know a family who will benefit from this kind of device. They own several cars, more than the number of family members, in fact. There was a time when the teenage son took the car without permission from his parents. They thought the car was stolen. It was reported to the police and a search was made. After three days, the son confessed that he crashed the car near a friend’s house. The car was there, with a huge dent on the side. He was afraid to tell his parents about it so he pretended not to know anything about what happened. With Fleet Tracking, his parents would know right away where the car was. Imagine the Mercedes lost just like that! No wonder his parents went crazy when they thought the car was lost.

This Fleet GPS Tracking device is also very good for companies renting out cars. (more…)

Hazel's fave song

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

The little girl at home is always shouting about something. I don’t know where she learned to be so loud. Or is this something with kids? Anyway, to calm her down, I always play Camp Rock songs. She knows all songs in that Disney movie.

She particularly likes This is Me by Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas. Here’s the video below…

I know this song by heart already. Marinig mo ba naman halos araw-araw! Hehehe
