BYBS: The Past Year

I have so many things to be thankful for with regards to the past year, 2008.

For one, nobody got sick in the family. The occasional cough and cold, yes, but nothing major. Thank God. Then, my income might have been down but my sisters got better jobs. Every one in the family has some sort of income coming in. My brother started college. Hazel’s been with us for the whole year giving us joy in every way.

We reconciled with an aunt we had a rift with last year. Everything is back to normal now. We missed my cousins and we’re happy that they are spending time with us again. My uncle is well in Qatar. A cousin left the country to try his luck abroad. My grandma, even though sick with diabetes and somewhat bedridden already, is doing well. We had numerous family gatherings that were so much fun and made my dad and my uncles closer.

I still maintain constant communications with friends. I might have lost some this year but I gained immense lessons from it. I also gained online friends and have become closer to some. Thanks to Entrecard, Weekend Snapshot and BYBS, I get to discover great bloggers and their blogs. My scope is not limited anymore to Filipino and some US bloggers. My bloghopping is now more diversified.

Blogging is still the best way to cope with stress for me. It started as a therapy against so many things that happened in the past and it continues to be that way for me. Blogging has also given me so much not just materially but also in terms of knowledge. I learned a lot and I know I will continue learning doing this.

This blog, My Own Utopia, was given a PR3 again! Now that is a great way to start the year!
