How did I spend my Valentine’s Day? Out with the little girl!
Actually, we went to the mall last February 13 to watch Inkheart and when you ask her where she wants to eat, she’ll tell you Teriyaki Boy. She loves the Lapu-Lapu Tempura there. Naturally, we ate at TBoy!
And then…

Valentine’s Day dinner
And on Valentine’s Day, we went to the mall again and ate at Teriyaki Boy again! I believe I won’t be eating at TBoy for months after that 2 days eating there. We went to see someone at The Block and I went home smiling while Hazel was sleeping.
By the way, I forgot to post a photo of Hazel with her new haircut. She got it last Monday while I was at Tim’s… Do you like it?
More photos after the jump… (more…)

When you talk about fitness, what does it mean? Does it mean going on a long and winding diet programs? Does it mean hitting the gym daily or at least three times a week? Does it mean starving yourself until you get all skinny and such?
For me, it means a combination of a good diet program and daily exercise. Of course, I am not an authority when it comes to being fit but I do know a lot about this topic because I have embarked on a fitness regime one time too many. This time around, though, when I say fitness, I mean exercising. And that word means brisk walking to me. I found this Smooth 9.35HR treadmill at Smooth Fitness. And this is very similar to the treadmill I use at the gym before.
I love brisk walking. I can’t run yet. It makes me weak and it gives me a stitch on my side when I do it. But brisk walking is what I love. If you are thinking of exercise and being fit, go to SmoothFitness.com now.

Do you remember the post I’ve written wherein I was telling you that I might go back to the corporate world one of these days? I have not yet applied in any company but that doesn’t mean that I won’t be going back anymore. I just might, one of these days. I just don’t know if I still can keep up with a 9 to 5 working hours. I am now so used to working when I feel like it. There are days when I would start working at seven in the morning. There are days when I feel like working at noon.
I wish someone would buy gold and give it to me. So that there will be no more worry that I still have to go back to being a corporate rat.

My mind won’t stop working, jumping from one idea to the next. I guess that’s a good thing considering that if my mind stopped working altogether, I’d be six feet under. One of the reasons I have several blogs is because I have so many ideas I want to put into writing. A single blog just won’t do at all. Or you wouldn’t understand the jumble of topics already if I put it all under one blog.
Yesterday, I was at Tim’s. While we were yakking about things, my mind would wander on a topic I would have to write in one of my blogs. I will put it at the back of my mind and focus on the present. This happens to me all the time. Even when I am the one talking. Having a short attention span is a hassle. You just can’t focus on any single thing! I can multitask. At least. Otherwise, I might not get to complete any project I start.
Root Cause… The truth is, I had perfect concentration before. It was one of my assets when I had my CPA board review. You can put me in a crowded, noisy mall foodcourt and I can read several chapters and retain all the information in it. My concentration was that good! But when I started working, it slowly deteriorated for some reason. I get distracted all the time. Too much stress? Or what I secretly feel is that it is an escape from all those turbulent times in my life.
I would have to get rid of this once and for all.

Here’s a cool hangman game. You can play hangman games with words from different categories (hangman with animals, hangman with body parts, hangman with countries, hangman with girl names or with kitchen tools). The hangman game is made in flash.
Have fun playing!

I will get my much needed sunshine later. Since I work at home, I hardly go out unless I really need to. I, therefore, miss sunshine so much that I make sure the windows are open in the morning to let it all in.
I’ll be off in an hour or two to Tim’s house to sample her cooking and talk about girl stuff
Have a great week everyone!

Na-overexcite naman ata ako sa new DSL connection ko that by night time I already have a splitting headache. I ended up going to bed earlier than usual (1AM instead of past 2AM). And sleeping in when I usually get up early these days even on weekends.
Anyway, I begun updating most of my blogs and have started dropping cards again. Will try to do more tonight. For now, I will go back to sleep and catch more zzzzss…
Happy weekend everyone!

Cash for structured settlements. That is one of the ways on how to survive these days. I should know, two of my former co-workers told me all about this. They have exchanged cash for structured settlement. They were told by the company financial analyst about it. Apparently, the analyst’s father availed of this way to get cash, too. He sold his annuities for cash. People are having financial problems left and right and if they really find a way to solve this problem, most of these people grab the opportunity. I know that some are saying that it might work out in the long run so hold on to those structured settlements anyway. But if you are in a dire situation wherein you have to choose between starvation and holding onto something that will materialize in the future, I am sure the decision is easy.
Settlement Capital buy structured settlements. They can help you become liquid once more. I know the feeling of helplessness when you are short in cash. I have experienced that in far too many instances in the past. If Settlement Capital can help you with that problem, I say go for it!

Some of you might have read already my rant in my other blog about this lousy DSL connection I have right now. 12 hours of interruption the other day. And now, an uber slow connection. Anyway, all that will be changed (hopefully for the better) tomorrow. I already applied for a new DSL connection and it will be installed tomorrow this morning. Yey!
So because of this week-long on and off internet interruption, I was not able to update my other blogs. Tim noticed that I haven’t updated some of my blogs for quite some time now. Actually, I was supposed to update those before the 12-hour interruption happened. I already have my list ready and the topics I will write about. And then, boom! No DSL connection. No landline, so I can at least hook up using dial-up. Tomorrow Later, as soon as the new internet connection gets installed and working properly, I will start a marathon of blog updates
I’m actually looking forward to a busy day tomorrow today… Have a nice day everyone!

When you are highly dependent on your internet connection and you need it to be fast and reliable, you better be careful in choosing your internet service provider. I suggest you check out Time Warner High Speed Internet service. It guarantees up to 100x faster than dial-up. Time is gold for most people. There are even some who cannot stay put in any place at any given time because of a busy lifestyle.
The Time Warner Internet service is the one for those with a busy online life like me. I stay online almost 18-20 hours a day. I need high speed internet because I do my work online. I open several browsers at the same time and would browse web sites all at once. If I only use dial-up like before, it will take me hours before I finish something I can do for a couple of minutes alone.
If you are like me, check out the Time Warner Internet Service. Time Warner Cable also offers digital cable TV and digital phone aside from the internet service. If you want to subscribe to all 3, you can get it in a single package for only $109.85/month. Go ahead and check out the services offered by TimeWarnerCable.com now.

I love creating blogs. I have a number of them that I once hosted in a free hosting program. I write about different topics. Some of the blogs are identified as mine, the others are not. What I was thinking several months ago was to get a cheap web hosting where I can put all my blogs under. It will be great to be able to have more control of my sites, having my own cpanel and all that. I searched for a web hosting account that I can afford and thank goodness I found one that fits not only my budget but also my other needs.
You can get a similar budget web hosting account from Lypha. This web hosting company offers cheap hosting plans as well as reseller web hosting plans. They use reliable enterprise servers only. Plus they guarantee 99.998% network uptime per month which what you should be looking for, believe me.
Interested? Go and visit Lypha.com now for more information.

Whenever I encounter an obstacle in life, I always remind myself that “this too shall pass”. I don’t kid myself that I can easily overcome it. I take it one step at a time. I just know that I can somehow act on my problem, do something about it and come up with a solution sooner or later.
Shen and I were talking while aboard the jeepney this morning. I was telling her about some of the problems I’ve been encountering lately. At one point, I felt detached from myself and I heard what I was saying… I laugh at my problems most of the time. I get angry. I get spitting mad at times. I cry because of too much frustration. But after a while, I see something funny in the situation and will laugh at it. It eases whatever burden I am carrying.
This attitude I have will sustain me through the years. I just have to find a way not to become too jaded and to keep myself intact.
