Update: Today…
I am sorry for not updating the past few days. I am just uber busy with so many things.
I am taking care of something offline for my brother. He is thinking of shifting to a 2-year course. I don’t know why he’s suddenly so practical. Probably envious of our cousin (the one he considers his kuya) who’s earning so much abroad. And we’re also planning on opening a business once he graduates. I think he’s taking all that into consideration. I must admit I am relieved. Information Technology is just sooo expensive! Yes, I want him to graduate with a degree. But if he himself does not want that… I’m afraid that if I insist, he’ll just fight it more. So we are off looking for a new course for him. Sigh.
This morning, my uncle’s wife went here to chat with me. They are having problems with their finances. We are really close to my uncle’s family. And I am so sorry that I cannot help them the way I wanted to. I can just pray that things will turn out fine for them soon.
I will post more updates tomorrow…
Happy Tuesday everyone!

hi. i hope you don’t mind if i share my thoughts. there was a time when getting a degree was very very important for me. i want my daughter to have one. in my time one can hardly get a decent job in the philippines without a four year degreee. but you know what, i now know some people who didn’t even graduate and are now earning thousands of dollars online. i graduated with top honors but i don’t even earn one fourth of what they earn. i’m not saying now that getting a degree is not important but i guess this is really something for me to think about. sigh….

@Grace… First off, thank you for the comment. I really appreciate it!

Alam mo before, I also have this high regard for a degree. Up to now pa rin naman. But whereas before I didn’t believe with vocational courses or those 2-yr certificate courses, I now consider it very practical to get one if you see that you can’t really finance a 4-yr course. Saka I also know a lot of people who are so successful in their lives. People who are not degree-holders. I have friends who work in luxury liners, call centers and hotels who are certificate holders only pero di hamak na financially stable than me
If you have all the resources to get a degree, then do so. If not, there are other options out there.

You are right, hwag daw pilitin kung ayaw baka magsisisi tau sa huli. I agree, let them decide what they want.
