It is quite obvious how much we adore our little kikay, Hazel. She is the most adorable little girl this side of the planet for us. She turned 4 last October 16 and we celebrated it with a birthday dinner. My sister bought a cake for her after.

The kind of happiness a kid can give you is just too precious. Hazel is growing up so fast and we are savoring every moment with her.
Have a great week!

It’s amazing how you can enjoy a pet nowadays without actually owning one. I am talking about a virtual pet. Of course, an actual pet is way better. But if you are like me who can’t even take care of herself fully, I’d rather a virtual than an actual pet. Better, right?
As what I have said in a previous post, I have joined Pet Society. I wasn’t big on social networking apps but I liked Pet Soc when my sister introduced me to it. Own a pet, get pet supplies for it and take care of it. Just like in real life. Except in Pet Soc, your pet is more like human at times hehe
I am sure I will not be hooked to it like others are. As I’ve said, I am not big on apps in social networking sites. But anything that can relieve me of stress and too much worries is welcome to me.

Meet Sushi. My pet. Part witch, part vampire. Yes, that’s a scar. And those are fangs. Hahaha
My sister, Meng, who’s hooked on Facebook forced (true!) me to join Pet Society. I am not spending much time on any social networking site but I definitely like FB better than Friendster.
If you’re on Pet Society, say hi to Sushi, will you?

There are things you do for no apparent reason until much later when you realize you did it because of something that will happen. Like buying a life vest when you don’t see using it in the near future. Then all of a sudden, typhoons poured in leaving you stranded at home because of two-storey high flood waters. Who would have thought you’d need a life vest for home? Or getting an rv towing service plan because sooner or later, you might have a need for it.
Things happen for a reason. You might not see the reason now, but later on, you’ll see it fully.

My heart is easily touched when I see a family together. No matter how many loyal friends you have, when the going gets tough, it’s still your family to whom you can turn to. Most people don’t realize it until it’s too late. So the few who really value their families, they are the ones that melts my heart when I see them show how much they do.
A neighbor was telling my dad about the motorhome warranty that he got with the brand new unit he bought. He was not boasting about the new motorhome. Rather, he is telling my dad about the plans he has for the whole family by next summer. A family man, through and through.

This blog is saying goodbye to Entrecard. I had a great time with EC but the reemergence of the paid ads as well as the guilt of not being able to drop back… For now, I must say…

Two of my blogs are still in EC, though, so I’ll be seeing you when I drop for those blogs

Working adults who have the desire to get their masters have a hard time going to university. I should know. I worked for a call center company and there are so many employees working there who became my friends. These employees would like to climb the corporate ladder so they want to get a post-graduate degree. Time is their number one problem. So instead of enrolling in a local university, they found they can get an online degree instead.
Western Governors University is dedicated to help working adults get their masters degree online. They want individuals to get their degrees independent of time and place. This is good for employees who are stuck in the office most of the time. WGU is a fully accredited online education institution and it is more affordable than other universities because it is non-profit. It currently serves over 14,000 students from all 50 states.
If you want to know more about WGU, go to www.WGU.edu or follow them in Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/wgu.

I always tell my sister, G, to smile. She is a teacher and sometimes, she forgets that she’s through teaching and already home. She frowns a lot and would look stern all the time. I keep reminding her that sooner or later, if she does not stop frowning a lot, she’d be needing a wrinkle cream. She also raises her voice a lot these days. Again, forgetting that she’s not in the classroom anymore. But when she’s in her normal mode, she’s actually a wacky person. Quite pleasant. And you’d never think she’s a teacher because she looks really young for her age.
