My brother will be entering his 3rd year in college this coming June. It’s the start of his major. We are looking at different netbooks that he can use in school. I know that it’s really time for him to own one. He is majoring in Information Technology and a netbook is essential for him. I like the fact that he is really studying hard. And because I know that he is doing so, I am helping him get through college smoothly.
I am not asking for my brother to give me really high grades. I am fine with him finishing college on time. But I kept telling him that he needs to produce decent grades so when his future employer would look at his Transcript of Records, he will be showing them good ones. That’s it. I think he is serious in his studies and I pray to God that he will really finish his course on time.

If you are in a cold place, or when the weather is cold, have you noticed how you crave for more food? You can eat plate after plate of food and after a while, you feel like munching on something again. That’s how I am when it’s cold. I keep on craving for food. Of course, it’s bad for my weight loss program to be giving in to my cravings. It will mess up with my weight. I heard of some diet pills I can take. Have you heard of the Ripped Freak? Or some other brand?
I know there are ways that I can help my weight loss journey. But I want to try the natural method first. Then when it doesn’t work, that’s the time I will try another method.

Baguio is our adopted hometown. Whenever we can, we go there for a weekend or more. Last Friday, I went to Baguio with Tim and her family. Shen followed on Saturday morning. We all stayed in Hotel Veniz in between Burnham Park and Abanao Square. It was a good 3-day stay. I was able to stay away from the computer and the internet for 3 days! Although I didn’t really get that much sleep, still I was able to relax and forget about my pending tasks. I was tempted Friday night to check my email but I was able to curb the urge to go to an internet cafe. Whew!
I know there are people who don’t go back to a place they visited so many times already. In our case (my siblings and I), we will never grow tired of going back to Baguio.
Photos to follow. I haven’t uploaded anything yet.

I was checking out different insurance web sites while watching my favorite tv drama with the family. A colleague is asking for my help in canvassing for the best insurance I can find on the web. A client of his is asking for that service but since he is off on vacation, he asked me to do it for him. For a fee, of course. I have found estatecarinsurance.com to be offering a good insurance coverage. And another site, too.
Some of my colleagues really ask for my help from time to time, especially now that they know I am working at home already. I charge them reasonable fee, sometimes giving my services pro bono if I feel that it’s too easy. This is a way for me to earn extra income on top of the regular work coming in.

It is best to get a whole life insurance before doing any risky activity. A well-known personality is going to indulge the adventurous in him. He saw the feature show in a cable channel about some of the thrilling adventures that can be found in different parts of the states. He told everyone that he wants to try the free fall and the really high roller coaster shown. And some other thrill rides he can find along the way.
I am not an adventurous person. I do like to watch the adventures of others, though. That’s enough for me. I once fancied bungee jumping. And parasailing. I will still try the latter but will have to beg off the former. I don’t think my heart can take that kind of thrill. I am better off reliving the thrill felt by others through the tv shows I watch or through the books I read.

I saw a friend on a social networking site. I saw her photos and I was so envious of a pair of boots that she’s wearing in one of the photos. Good thing she was also online so we were able to talk for a while and she told me the brand of the boots.
It reminded me of someone I know who was so happy the first few months she started working abroad. It’s for the simple reason that she could start wearing her pretty boots already without looking ridiculous! I was laughing over the email she sent me then telling me about it.
A person can really find happiness over simple, sometimes silly, things.

These days, I notice that everything is becoming digital. I am not using my cellphone as much as before. That’s because I am almost always online and instead of sending sms or calling up everyone, if they are online I chat with them instead. In fact, I was just chatting with my aunt who’s online waiting for the insurance quotes that will be emailed to her. A friend was online also because she was at work. No need to call them up because I can already talk to them via an online messenger.
It’s convenient and less costly. Anyway, I am paying for an unlimited DSL connection so even if I am always online, I am paying for the same amount every month.

It was so hot yesterday! It reminded me of the day my mom suffered heat stroke before she was diagnosed with her kidney ailment. It also reminded me that I need to take care of the NC health insurance that I am postponing on getting for weeks.
It’s been almost a month now that I haven’t been doing much except just go through my to-do’s. And I haven’t been finishing any from my list yet. Other than that, I am just mostly staying online to check things and then going to sleep. I need to be able to do all the important tasks so I can start relaxing a bit.
