I am sharing some photos of fishes, yellow and with shades of it, that we saw at the Manila Ocean Park when I went there with my sister Meng and Hazel…

It was a day of fun not only for the little girl but also for my sister and I.
Happy Monday everyone! Have a good week!

I am always thankful for the little blessings that come my way. Whereas before I couldn’t recognize the little ones, I am now more open to the little blessings.
Yesterday, I went malling with my girl friends Tim, Shen and Jing. The four of us meet at least twice a month. It’s mostly dinner and then coffee after. Yesterday, we went to the mall, strolled around, had lunch and then, as usual, coffee after. In between, there’s lots and lots of laughter!

It was a very relaxing and fun Saturday for me. It started out really early with a Linggo ng Wika dance presentation we attended in Hazel‘s school. After which I went to the mall with the girls. We laughed so hard about so many things about each of us. We also talked about books and other stuff.
It’s a good way to start my weekend especially with so many things for me to finish by tomorrow morning.
Happy Sunday to all!

In the past, when it comes to my future, I just left things to fate. You know, whatever happened, I’d just accept it because I wasn’t prepared. That was how I dealt with the future. These days, I make sure that I have a plan for tomorrow. It may not be five years down the line but at least a goal for the immediate future, something tangible, something I can say is a preparation for my tomorrow.
An investment in gold bullion is now one thing I am looking into. Yes, for the future. The USGoldBureau.com is the web site I go to, and where you should go to, too, in case you are interested in gold investment as well.
I don’t leave things to fate anymore. As much as I can, I create my own future and prepare for anything I can’t be in control of.

What are some of your immediate goals in life?
There are some goals I would like to accomplish before the year ends…
- I would like to complete payment of the vault we got at The Garden of the Divine Word. We still have around less than 50% left unpaid.
- Transfer the remains of my mom and my brother to The Garden with my grandma.
- Pay-off the rest of my brother’s college fees. Fully pay his 2nd semester fees, that is.
- And save up even a little amount for the holidays.
What are yours?

Do you moderate the comments on your blog?
Yes, I do. Not because I want to censor the comments here, and even in my other blogs. But because I am wary of spam. That’s the only reason. For most of my blogs and this one, anyway.
For my main blog, I moderate comments because I write about some national issues there. I admit I don’t post derogatory comments left in that blog. It’s mine and I reserve the right to reject comments lashing out at me.
What about you do you moderate comments on your blog, too?

Ate Linda is my mom’s aunt. Ever since she learned that I passed the board exams for accountants more than a decade ago, she’s obsessed with the idea of one of her grandchildren becoming a CPA, too. Now that her oldest grandchild is going to college, she wants me to convince her to take up Accountancy.
I told her that it shouldn’t be that way. Because it’s what she wants. Her grandkid should get a career advice from those who really know not only about Accountancy but about other degrees as well. Professionals who can help a kid entering college determine what’s the right path for him or her to take.

What are three movies you could watch over and over and over (and over) again?

There are many movies I can watch over and over and over again. What comes to mind right now are the following: Parent Trap (yes, with Lindsay Lohan), Meet the Robinsons (the cartoons), and While You Were Sleeping (with Sandra Bullock). I love these three movies a lot!

For most people, a degree is the best weapon that a person can carry in life. Getting a job is easier if you can show a degree that you’ve finished. There’s always something that you know you can fall back on should you go up against a wall of problems. The same goes for those who are serving the country.
Those who are in service can take up online military degrees. It can be as a preparation to go up the military rank ladder or as a way to start a new life outside of the military.

It’s Friday once again! Time is flying by so fast! Next week is the start of the ‘ber months. Before we know it, the countdown to Christmas is on again.
Yesterday, my dad, my sister, Hazel and I went to The Garden of the Divine Word in Christ the King Church in E. Rodriguez, Sr. Avenue, Quezon City. It is the columbary of the SVDs. My grandma’s remains was cremated as per her wishes. We were looking for a columbary for her urn when my sister, Grace, told us about the one in Christ the King Church. I checked it and the prices if we can afford to get a vault. A vault’s price ranges from 73K to as high as 95K. But with the peace and quiet of the place, the lush garden, the everyday mass being offered for the dead… I think it’s worth it. Plus, each vault can accommodate as many as 4 urns.
Here are some photos of the place…

The columbary has 3 levels: Terrace, Promenade and Garden. We chose the Garden level.

This is the Garden level. The shade of the trees and plants can be a blessing when the sun is up. The green walls you are seeing are actually the vaults where the urns are placed.

There are ponds on the Garden level with koi fishes in it.

This is the view from the Terrace level.

The Garden level is where the Grotto of the miraculous Virgin Mary is located. It has seats similar to an ampitheatre. You actually won't think you're in a place for the dead because of the beautiful landscape.
We will have my mom’s remains (if there’s anything left) and my brother’s bones cremated as well. So that the three of them will be together in the columbary. I can already see my mom smiling. My mom used to love places like this.

I love listening to mellow music. My sisters tease me that it’s the reason I get so sleepy. Truth is, music stimulates my mind. I can think clearly when there’s music on the background. I know someone who gets distracted by music when she has to think of a post to write. That’s not me. For some reason, my mind is functioning better if there’s noise. Crazy no?

Education is very important. But so is training. So when you hear of a school offering both theories and training while the students are on board, what do you do? I say, grab the opportunity and take a course! Check out Regency, a Cosmetology School in Austin. They offer training while students are still on campus. No need to wait until the last year of school to go out and get the training the students need. At Regency, they use a unique approach to teaching and that is letting students provide discounted salon services to the public under the expert supervision of the faculty.
Go ahead, know more about Regency and their unique approaching to educating their students. Go to RegencyBeauty.com now for more information.

I dreamt of two people from my gloomy past. I don’t know if it’s a good omen since in both dreams, I was laughing a lot and the situations in it were positive. I don’t know also if it’s a bad omen since both persons were from my past that I don’t want to ever be associated again.
I would like to think that it is something positive but there is a foreboding I’ve been feeling since yesterday. True enough, the man from the bank called and it’s all about the loan that wasn’t mine again! Maybe that’s it.
I hate problems. Wala naman yatang may gusto ng problema di ba? I know problems are given to us to test our character and to send a blessing alongside it. I still hate it. Especially when the problem is something I dealt with in the past and it gave me so much heartache.
