BYBS: Feeling blessed
It’s been ages since I posted a BYBS entry. Anyway, here’s another one. I am feeling so blessed at the moment so let me share it with you…
If you have been reading this blog, you know that I have often mentioned being down and out for years and years until about four years ago when working at home changed things for me. I think life took pity on me and helped me get up.
Quitting the corporate world was a big gamble for me. Who knew what would happen, right? But it paid off. I was able to eliminate debts and change some things around the house. I was able to do a lot of things while controlling my own schedule. Most importantly, I was able to help people close to me. I had more than enough. And seeing people dear to me happy is what makes me happy as well.
Whenever I hear struggles of other people, I would be a hypocrite to say that I don’t feel relieved that I am not in that situation anymore. I feel blessed that I can tell others that I am a living proof that someone who was totally down and out can still get up and make things work if she helps herself and couple hard work with lots and lots of prayers. That did it for me. Hard work and prayers. Lots of both! For two straight years I would sleep for two to three hours max daily. Sleeping for four to five hours was already a luxury to me back then. I was bone tired but seeing the fruits of my hard work kept me going. After those two years, I was able to relax a bit more because I was able to pay off debts already. There are still some left that are not mine anymore but I still need to pay off. But the pressure isn’t there like before.
I just feel so blessed today that I felt like sharing my struggle story again. I hope those who know me or who’ve read about this already will indulge me on this one. I just want to share this story of mine so others will know first hand that there is hope and that all the hardships will pass.
