Do you moderate the comments on your blog?
Yes, I do. Not because I want to censor the comments here, and even in my other blogs. But because I am wary of spam. That’s the only reason. For most of my blogs and this one, anyway.
For my main blog, I moderate comments because I write about some national issues there. I admit I don’t post derogatory comments left in that blog. It’s mine and I reserve the right to reject comments lashing out at me.
What about you do you moderate comments on your blog, too?

I was once very active in blogging activities. In almost every EB, I was there. I even reached Batangas City by myself because I wanted to meet two bloggers I became close to. But since my priorities shifted, I became inactive and eventually lost touch with most of them.
Two of the many bloggers I met in the past were Cai of the Pink Urinal and Des of Fingertalks. I became really good friends with them. Cai is still around, still active with local blogging activities. We still talk from time to time. But I was closer to Des and she’s the one I miss the most. She went abroad to work there with her husband. We lost communication because according to her, internet connection in her location was horrible. The last time we talked, she told me that she’s going to lose her blog because of problems with her host. And that she wouldn’t be able to talk to us for quite sometime because of the net problems.
I was suddenly reminded of our girl talks, Cai, Des and I. I miss the girls! I don’t miss being active in local blogging activities but I miss bonding with the friends I made through blogging.

How has your life changed due to blogging? Has it changed at all?
Yes, my life changed due to blogging. I am now working at home. Writing has been my one true love ever since I was a little kid. Now, I am doing what I love most and it doesn’t feel like work at all. I now spend more time with my family and can address family issues personally. I’m working and earning and having fun all at the same time!
Who could say they experience that with their work?
Plus, blogging gave me the opportunity to take my family on vacations. And lots of food trips! I was also able to buy a lot of things for our home through my earnings.
I just love blogging! It is now not only an outlet for me but a way of life already.

Have you noticed the change in this blog? I made it!
I was thinking of getting a new theme that I can use here. But I really like the headers I had made by SimplyWP so I thought I will just do something about the layout and will retain the use of the header. The two headers are being used alternately. I use the one with the woman lying on a beach somewhere when I feel like I need to get away. I also use it during the summer season. The rest of the year I use this header I am currently using.
Anyway, so I wanted a striped background. I found a stripe generator and used it to produce the background you are currently seeing. I then tweaked the stylesheet and index files a bit to come up with this new layout. Then I thought of using a page divider I got for free at Simply Fabulous Templates and voila!
I now have a new blog layout and I am loving it!

I haven’t been updating that much in this blog of mine. So sorry about that. My policy in blogging is that, if I have nothing better to say, I ought to keep my mouth shut than flood my blog with silly entries. Although the past few weeks have really been just a lazy one for me. I do have a lot of things to tell everybody but words are not coming forth to be put into paper (or in this case, blog).
I went twice to Baguio City. The first time was with friends Tim and Shen (and Tim’s family). The second one was with my sisters and Hazel. Both trips were so much fun! I really had a blast both times and I was hoping I could go back again before the year ends. I just love the weather up there!
I have seen numerous movies. I would love to write about it here and I promise I will share with you my opinions on the movies I’ve seen. I will start writing it down and will schedule it to be published here with the next two weeks. I also managed to squeeze in a couple of dinners with friends. Good times, I tell you.
So stay tuned. I hope I didn’t make you wait too long for an update that you are now leaving me and My Own Utopia.

I haven’t been updating this blog that much. I think my attention is diverted to my new baby. No, it’s not a little kid. It’s a new blog. But a really personal one that I won’t be using for the same thing as the rest of my blogs.
Anyway, I am trying to post more regularly here. The same with my other blogs. I just can’t do everything right away but that’s my plan. And I know I can do this if I will schedule posts from time to time.
The only hindrance I encounter in doing marathon postings is that I sometimes get stuck in a single topic. But I do try to get around it. Or sometimes, I feel like I am not making sense at all. You know, like I am the only one who will be able to understand what I just wrote. If I feel that way, I delete my post and start from scratch.

2009 is a so-so year for me. Good but it could have been better. I didn’t work that hard unlike in the past two years. I didn’t take advantage of ALL the opportunities presented to me. I chose some and was content with that. This coming year, work harder is what I need to do. I will be more aggressive like what I did in 2007. Must step up for the new house…

I seize every opportunity that I am feeling masipag. When I do, I make a list of the things needed to be done and I don’t stop until I am really tired and about to keel over. Because it’s rare these days that I feel inspired enough to work myself to death. Not because of anything else ha. I just feel lazy most days. It’s the holiday spirit kasi hehe
So today, I am working really hard tinkering with my cpanel. I am just arranging things for next year. Might be less time blogging for me since I just might go back to join the rat race once more. Scary!

Imbes na nakapag-update ako at nakapag-comment nitong nakaraang 3 araw, I spent it fixing bugs in several of my blogs. Nakakainis talaga! Some of my blogs and those that I am hosting were attacked by a code-messing virus. I hate those .ru sites! I could have used the time I wasted on those codes messed up in updating or grabbing opps. But no, I wasted ample time chasing .ru sites 
I managed to kill some but my brother said it might be a worm because it keeps coming back in some blogs. Kainis!
I was supposed to join Weekend Snapshots and Music Monday. I will just join next week. EC dropping was also stopped lest I bring virus to some people’s blogs. I am constantly checking my blogs and so far so good… knocks on wood! Haha!
Anyway, regarding the comment challenge I issued myself, it went well. If I do say so myself. I was able to leave comments in different blogs but then again, the hacking happened and I was not able to do anything except correct codes messed up. Now, I am back to leaving comments and hopefully, I am done fixing the bugs.

You might have noticed this blinkie on my sidebar. For the past few days now, I’ve been missing the old blogging style that I knew. Bloghopping, leaving comments, conversing in the comments section, joking around at the shoutbox… I actually miss Inay‘s kakulitan the most!
Starting today, I will be issuing a challenge to myself to leave at least 20 legitimate comments in a day to blogs that I like. It doesn’t matter if I get a comment in return although it will be greatly appreciated. Over time, if I find that I can leave more, I will increase the number of comments I will leave on my EC dropping trail
Today is September 15 and I will give you progress reports on this challenge on a weekly basis. I will start this coming Sunday.

For the past few days, all I did was catch up on pending tasks. Today, for the first time in weeks, I am free to do what I want. I don’t have any task due. That will be until tomorrow. After that, there will be tasks due once more. My enterprising co-bloggers know what I just talked about
Since I have free time, I changed the look of this blog a bit. Done with purple for now. I also brought back my other header. It is hot in Manila even though it’s raining. I thought I want to look at my blog and be transported to a cooler place. Thus, the change in header and the cooler shade of color.

I noticed that my feed subscribers went up to 50+ already! Yey! Thank you so much to each and every one of my subscribers. Rest assured that I update this blog as much as possible. There are days when I write more than two entries a day. Like today. I think I’ve written around 15 entries already. There are days when it takes me three days to a week before I update again. If I don’t feel like writing anything down, you won’t see an update here. But if I feel like ranting and raving, then more entries come up

I miss my 1,000th post! Aargh! I was supposed to celebrate it but I guess I wasn’t looking at the number of posts I already posted. Anyway, my 1,000th post happened to be my post about my goddaughter’s upcoming birthday.
Time flies so fast! I started this blog in November 2007 and it will be my 2nd year blogoversary by November 4th of this year. Whew!

When I had a theme customized for this blog, I asked another header design. This header of a girl with a laptop as well as the header with a girl lying on a beach. I love both headers! Since summer is over here in the country, I thought of using the original header for now
Love the colors! I love the lady in the header. Wish I could be that sexy and my eyes that lovely. Hehehe

For some reason, the big G of the world wide web does not like my blogs. I haven’t gotten a break since G knows when. This blog was once given a 3. Dropped to 2, gained back the 3 and now a big fat 0!
I shouldn’t be concerned with it. I still get $$$ anyway. But then I would have gotten more if I have a green something in my toolbar, right? Sigh.
Okay, enough bitterness with the big G. I should say thanks to the Big G above, though. For despite the white line in my toolbar, I still get $$$

Some of you might have read already my rant in my other blog about this lousy DSL connection I have right now. 12 hours of interruption the other day. And now, an uber slow connection. Anyway, all that will be changed (hopefully for the better) tomorrow. I already applied for a new DSL connection and it will be installed tomorrow this morning. Yey!
So because of this week-long on and off internet interruption, I was not able to update my other blogs. Tim noticed that I haven’t updated some of my blogs for quite some time now. Actually, I was supposed to update those before the 12-hour interruption happened. I already have my list ready and the topics I will write about. And then, boom! No DSL connection. No landline, so I can at least hook up using dial-up. Tomorrow Later, as soon as the new internet connection gets installed and working properly, I will start a marathon of blog updates
