If you live in this side of the planet, you should always be ready for a power interruption, especially during typhoons and elections. At home, we always have stuff we would need should a power interruption takes place. Flashlights, candles, matches, a transistor radio powered by three duracell procell aa, fans and our rechargeable and battery-powered lamps. The transistor radio is a must as we can continue being ‘connected’ to the world even when a storm is raging outside. So we always make sure all lamps are recharged and new batteries are in stock.
You just never know when you’re going to need it.
I remember those summer days when power was interrupted everyday for a couple of hours. It was torture for us because it’s so hot inside the house! Good thing my grandma’s place has a veranda where we stayed and cooled ourselves until power was back.
Those were the days… It was fun for us kids because we got to stay outdoors until early evening and played to our hearts’ content. But for adults, it meant almost no work done most specially for the moms.

Roy has been a medical doctor for the past twelve years. Two of his contemporaries are now consultants in big hospitals in the city and they are encouraging him to become one. But before anything else, he wants to take up a consultant interview course first. Not all of us can be confident in an interview. Most of the time we go to an interview unprepared and expecting the worse. So instead, there’s a course for a medical doctor targeting a consultant post can take up.
One of Roy’s colleague also told him that he can take up a medical teaching course and join them in teaching other medical professionals in a school connected to a well-known hospital in the city. Roy is very much interested as he wants something new in his career. Teaching has always been an interest of him and he once did it for two summers teaching remedial classes.
If like Roy you are also interested in polishing your consultant interview preparation and medical teaching skills, go to www.MedicalInterviewsUK.co.uk and enroll. There are also medical management course and teach the teacher course for those who want to know and learn more. Go ahead and take a career shift in the medical field. Take a new path and see where it leads you.

My friend Shen is very thoughtful. Whenever her man would go visit the Philippines, she has a little something for me, Tim and Jing. Always. I don’t know if we were able to express our gratitude the right away but we truly appreciate everything she gave us, especially as we know she doesn’t have a job yet but what little money she has from her man she uses to buy stuff she can send over. What a thoughtful friend!
So as a little something for her in return, whenever I see stuff that I can give to her, I also make sure to get it. Or whenever I come across things she can use where she is now, like the old navy coupons that I saw online, I make sure to tell her. She and her man go to Old Navy from time to time so I know she can use the coupons.
I am really thankful that we managed to stay as friends even during those times we were so busy living our own lives and not minding each other much. She is one friend I know I have until we are gray and old and wrinkled.

My friend lost her engagement ring with fancy diamonds. She can’t remember anymore what happened to it and where she lost it. She told her husband and he said that he will just get her a replacement. When she called me up the other day, she asked me to help her search fordiamond engagement rings. We went online at the same time a few hours ago and we found three potential replacements to the one she lost. Now, it’s up to her to choose one and then her husband will pay for it. Sweet!

One of the things I want to have when I am old and can’t take care of myself anymore is to have medical help on standby. I guess this is the advantage of families with doctors and nurses as family members. There is always someone to check a sick person at home. I should have let my brother take up nursing.
I am not afraid to grow old. What I am afraid of is to be sick the whole time. I’ve seen the elders in the family being sick and weak all the time and I am praying that won’t happen to me or to anybody in the family. If it can’t be avoided, at least there should be medical help always on standby.

Do you know how long I’ve been blogging? More than 7 years and counting! I’ve been blogging since 2004. Can you imagine how long I’ve been doing this? It all started as a way to release all the pent-up emotions in me until it became a serious undertaking. That’s when I looked for a reliable webhosting provider.
At the beginning I was not as lucky in finding a good web hosting company. I should have read the reviews and have chosen a really good one. Unfortunately, I didn’t and suffered for the first year of serious blogging. Good thing someone referred Bluehost to me and from then on I never looked back.
Read web hosting reviews. Know the best ones and choose based on your needs. There are providers that offer unlimited domain hosting. Some with bandwidth features that are the best. All you have to do is to really research and then choose the best. Go to www.WebsiteHosting.com now.

He is frustrated that he was not able to take up Nursing. He really wanted to become a nurse but since his parents couldn’t send him to medical school, he made do with another healthcare course. He just finished the course and is now looking for Medical Equipment Preparer Jobs. At least he is still in the medical field. Sooner or later he will find a way to take up Nursing, possibly taking night classes while he is working a day job.
There is a way in every obstacle in life. We only have to find the will and the determination to overcome it. And the discipline and perseverance to follow through.

I do believe that in giving gifts the price shouldn’t matter. It’s really the thought that counts. You can give cheap personalized jewelry to a woman who is into fashion and she will appreciate it. She will surely think that you thought of her specifically when you made the list and bought her the jewelry. She’s interested in fashion and jewelry surely falls under it!
What I am trying to say here is that if you give a person something that will surely interest him or her, the recipient will be able to appreciate the gift. Will you give a person who’s more into watching TV shows and movies a book when you know the person isn’t much of a reader? Or will you give a bookworm a baking set when you know the person doesn’t really bake?
You don’t just buy something just because it’s the first item you saw at the store. You buy something you thought of specifically for a person and give it to him/her. Remember, the thought counts.
