Online Slots is where my girl friends are hooked right now. I have not cracked the code yet. The code on why they are so hooked to it. But in time I will. That’s a promise. For now, I will have to endure their unending talks about online slots. We went out last Friday night and that’s all they can talk about. I was so amazed that they could talk about it for two hours straight! Good thing we saw a well-known personality having coffee at the other table. Our girl talks started and we talked about local showbiz, college basketball (UAAP) and lingerie. Our girl talk lasted until well over midnight. We went to a comedy bar and again, it was a blessed silence on online slots. After that, though, talks went straight to it again.
We all went home to a friend’s condo unit near the comedy bar. I asked them to show me their current interest. We went online and checked out several web sites catering to fans of online slots. I love traveling, even locally. I have been planning a roadtrip to the Northern part of this country with my friends for over a year now. We would have gone ahead last year but then our schedules just wouldn’t meet. It was either there was an event in their office that Shen could not get out of, or Jing’s boss called her up to take over a sales meeting coming up. Or it would be my turn to postpone the roadtrip because there were so many family gatherings lined up last quarter of 2007. We planned again early this year but work got on the way. And work is more important for each of us now because of the state of the economy.
Another friend, Leo, suggested that we wait for him because he will be buying the New Subaru DC that he saw at SubaruMD.com a couple of months ago. He saved some more for it so it took him a while to finally settle for the model that he really wanted. Now, we will really wait for him. It will save us girls a lot of money because we need not spend for gas and all. It will be a roadtrip that we will surely remember for a long while.

My grandma has been sick with diabetes for a number of years now. When she was still fit and healthy, she enjoyed being under the sun and soaking in the heat. Now, because she is having a hard time moving from one place to another, I am thinking of renovating one of the rooms downstairs and make it a sunroom for her. Or I saw a premade sunroom at Energy Doctor and maybe I can order that one to be installed near the living room. I already have the look at the room in mind. And I know my grandma will like it immensely.
Being sick makes one depressed at times. I speak from experience. My brother got sick with leukemia a few years back and I saw him brooding all the time. I can still remember the sadness in his eyes. I just know that he was getting depressed and we would feel it. Then, we would get depressed as well. The same thing happened when my mom got sick a few years ago. We would all get depressed for days. I don’t want this to happen to my grandma. I know the sunroom is just a little thing but I know that it will take her mind off her sickness.

Italy has always been a place I love to go to. Rome in particular. As well as Venice, Florence and a tiny town I saw on the travel channel that I forgot the name for the moment. It will come to me later, I am sure.
Anyway, a friend of mine who is well-traveled will be going to Venice by next month. He will also be dropping by Rome so he asked me if I know a web site where he can check the best Rome hotels that he can get. He plans to meet up with some of his colleagues who now work there and to tour the city as well. Blinds. It is essential at home because we are facing the sun. What I mean is, the rays of the sun goes directly inside the windows. That’s perfectly fine with us but there are days, especially in my case, that I would love to have a dim surroundings. I sleep late several days a week doing work so sunshine coming in my room would really wake me up in an untimely manner.
Window Blinds are what I am looking for. The curtains just won’t do. It is easier to have blinds. For me anyway. But we would still use curtains on top of the blinds in some parts of the house. Anyway, my dad is telling me that we would need to do some renovations in some of the rooms at home. So I will just include the renovations and the blinds in my next budget.
If you are working at home like me, you will notice that running a household is not a walk in the park. It entails so many details that I am amazed how my dad copes up with all of these. I just suggest and fund the activities but other than that, I am hands off in running the household.
