As you all know, I love creating blogs. I create different blogs because I write about different topics. Instead of compressing everything in one blog, I make sure I write about a particular topic in a blog I created specifically for it.
I believe this is the same reason behind a wiki. Wetpaint thought of giving those interested the ability to create free wikis and websites online. Now that is a great way to encourage those who want to start their own web sites but do not have the resources to do so. At Wetpaint, a free website can be easily done.
A friend of mine, Shen, is asking me about setting her own web site. She has numerous friends all over the world and she’s thinking of incorporating every little thing happening in her life there. She’s into music, so she wants a section of the web site dedicated for that alone. She’s into movie making. She also wants to chronicle her daily life there. And so on and so forth. When I told her about Wetpaint, she is really excited about it.

I have always wanted to go to Spain. But of course, due to budget constraints, I can only dream about it for now. Several relatives of mine who were able to visit Spain fell in love with the place. When he went home after two weeks, you can feel the glow in him. He even met a couple of his friends who are already living there. Whenever he visits Spain, he makes sure that the Hotels he chooses are of the best quality. He reads reviews and all. My friend has been suffering from too much stress from work lately. Whenever I talk to her, all she could tell me are her troubles at work. How much she detests her boss (but because finding a new job is hard these days, she has no choice but to put up with her boss). And then, the reports that she has to finish on time, every single week. She gives it to her boss every Friday, even if it is a holiday. It does not matter, what’s important is that the three reports she has to finish by Thursday night weekly should be on her boss’ desk by Friday morning. No later than seven in the morning. Truth is, the way she was ranting about her boss, I wonder how she was able to stay in her present company for so many years now.
What I know for sure is that, there are lots of Hotels at Destinia.com that my friend can choose from should she decide to go to Palma Mallorca soon. And I hope she does.

Here in the country, no matter if it is the rainy season already, you would still feel compelled to go to beach resorts or private pools to take a dip. That’s because it is really hot here in the country. Good thing I have an aunt who will have a pool installed at her home. I believe she will be getting it from Shasta Pools which is a company where you can get stuff like this.
We would always have to go somewhere else to take a dip. There are private pools for hire here in the metro. But there is a time limit to it. It is much better to take a dip whenever you feel like it, no matter the time. When I was a kid, I remember asking my parents to install a pool at home. But we were not really well off plus the backyard is quite small, there was no way we can have a pool at home. Also, my mom was not that interested with swimming. We all have fair complexion and my mom wanted to stay it that way. She did not want blemishes on our skin, which we really appreciated now we are grown ups.

My dad is the official house master in our family. Since he is not working anymore, semi-retired, and no more business to take care of, he stays at home and has since become the one to act as the ‘mom’ of the house. He cleans, cooks, and takes care of us. And because of this, we learned something new in him… he is a compulsive cleaner! He recently hoarded trash compactor bags that he can use at home. We were actually teasing my dad about it. But we realized, being a large family means there are more than the average trash other families have.
My dad’s routine would be: fill all the water containers, clean the house, cook for lunch and then he will take care of his chickens. He would then relax after lunch and take his siesta. And then he will clean again whatever he can find out of order at home. Fix things and will cook dinner. You would not believe it but he does that almost everyday. And he enjoys it. I tried to get a house help before but he adamantly refuses. It would just make him feel old and useless, he said. So I relented. Well, it makes him happy anyway.

I don’t know if you will find this weird or your family also practices the same thing… we have our own places at home. I mean when you see us all in the living room, chances are you will see us in the same exact places if you will look the next time. Get my drift? For example, I sit in the corner near the window. That has always been my place. You won’t see me sitting in the other side of the room simply because I am not comfortable there. Lighting is bad plus that’s my brother’s place. This also means that we have our own chairs. My dad has his rocking chair where he sits at night. And even in the afternoon where he naps.
Anyway, recently, I noticed that my dad is not that comfortable with his rocking chair anymore. When I asked him why, he said that the cushions (we had it cushioned a year ago) are somehow not good anymore. So we will just have it replaced. Cita will be opening a vintage store very, very soon. A month from now to be exact. She is just making sure that she has everything in order plus she wants to be able to offer her clients various items like vintage t shirts and other stuff. But she is almost through. I have seen the shop already and all I can say is, it is cozy and very welcoming. I would buy anything from that store before leaving. And picky me, if the shop can make me buy anything, then for sure other people coming in will be buying as well. That’s Cita’s goal.
Several years ago, my sister also thought of putting up a clothing store and a novelty shop. Whatever materialized out of her concepts she was very much willing to follow through. But we encountered some bad times, with mom’s sickness and all. So finances was really a big problem for us before. Instead of pushing through with her plans, she put it on hold and concentrated on work instead. She is still a corporate rat right now but her previous dreams of putting up those stores are resurfacing. She discussed it with me the other day and I believe I will invest in her business.

My sister, Grace, loves silver jewelry. When you see her collection, only one thing will come to mind… she has more silver jewelries than some jewelry shops in town.
