Increase in cash inflow

January 30th, 2012

When I met up with a colleague about a month ago, she told me about her plan of using the internet to increase her cash inflow. She is a single mom to twins and the kids are about to start pre-school this coming school year. She needs the additional income for her kids’ tuition fees. She has three existing web sites she can utilize to give her income through different online schemes like making one a pay per click website. One is an online shopping and fashion site, the other one is magazine-like site that offers tax and accounting information for non-accountants, and the other one is a personal blog. She has all three web sites running for a number of years now and all three rank high in search engine results. She knows she can use all three to give her additional income in the months to come. She gave me a run down of the steps she plans to take in order to start the ball rolling.

I told my old colleague about a neighbor who now lives abroad, opened an assisted living facility and utilizes an assisted living billing software to help her with her business. Both of them are single moms who needed an increase in cash inflow for their kids. My former neighbor is now a successful businesswoman while my old colleague is just starting out. I know her internet business will soon become a success knowing her determination and perseverance all too well as we worked for the same company for years.

Of course with all the business she is now conducting through her web sites, she must be sure to have a reliable partner in keeping all her data secure like an it consulting Dallas service provider. She needs it so that she is sure not to lose any important data and will always have someone to monitor her web sites.

So many plans…

January 30th, 2012

I have so many plans going through my mind right now. Plans that I know will need a lot of money if I will put it into action. The very thing running through my mind right this very moment is to have the walls in the house painted white. Or light yellow. I don’t know what it’s called exactly but a soothing yellow, if you must. Or white! That’s actually the color that I want since I want a really bright house. No need for the lights to be turned on if you have white walls. The color alone symbolizes tranquility for me so I really want that. But the sibs don’t want an all-white house so I can compromise with the soothing yellow.

I really wish I didn’t spend the money in just two months. I wish we didn’t go out almost every other day eating out and spending a lot on meals. I could have used that money for the wall painting plan I have in mind. I could have used the money for a trip to Baguio City or Cebu City this month. Oh well…

No more time for regrets. No more crying over spilled milk. It’s all been done and all I can do is learn from it and never let that situation repeat itself.

But on with the wall painting…

I think what I will do is have the paints bought first. Then the other stuff that will be needed. And then have the walls assessed by an expert. Then come summer, around March, I will have the walls done.

BYBS: Quick answer to a prayer!

January 22nd, 2012

raining blessings

I once heard that when praying we should be specific about what we are praying for. God is being bombarded with a lot of requests the least we can do is make it easier for Him by being specific with what we are asking from Him.

That’s what I did last Thursday afternoon. I went to St. Jude Church and asked for a very specific wish. You know what? Come Friday night, it came true! Blessings poured down from above and the rain of stars made my night so much brighter and happier!

Thank You, Lord!

So next time you say a prayer and ask for something, be specific about it. The answer might not be as quick as the answer I got but it will come in His time.

Keep the faith.

Happy Sunday everyone!

;)

Guys and their necklaces

January 21st, 2012

My brother and his best friend have these stainless steel necklaces they found and bought online. They got it a couple of weeks ago and it became their regular accessory. You can tell that the necklace has become their signature look.

I know some guys who really love their necklaces. I had a huge crush on this guy back in high school who wore a black rubber-like necklace and a similar bracelet. If I am not mistaken, it was “in” on teens that time. It didn’t look too good on him because he was a bit serious-looking but the crush raged on. Ha-ha-ha!

I saw him on Facebook again and he still looks a bit serious but now with a generous smile. Hmm…

Ready for lights out!

January 21st, 2012

If you live in this side of the planet, you should always be ready for a power interruption, especially during typhoons and elections. At home, we always have stuff we would need should a power interruption takes place. Flashlights, candles, matches, a transistor radio powered by three duracell procell aa, fans and our rechargeable and battery-powered lamps. The transistor radio is a must as we can continue being ‘connected’ to the world even when a storm is raging outside. So we always make sure all lamps are recharged and new batteries are in stock.

You just never know when you’re going to need it.

I remember those summer days when power was interrupted everyday for a couple of hours. It was torture for us because it’s so hot inside the house! Good thing my grandma’s place has a veranda where we stayed and cooled ourselves until power was back.

Those were the days… It was fun for us kids because we got to stay outdoors until early evening and played to our hearts’ content. But for adults, it meant almost no work done most specially for the moms.

Confident in an interview

January 21st, 2012

Roy has been a medical doctor for the past twelve years. Two of his contemporaries are now consultants in big hospitals in the city and they are encouraging him to become one. But before anything else, he wants to take up a consultant interview course first. Not all of us can be confident in an interview. Most of the time we go to an interview unprepared and expecting the worse. So instead, there’s a course for a medical doctor targeting a consultant post can take up.

One of Roy’s colleague also told him that he can take up a medical teaching course and join them in teaching other medical professionals in a school connected to a well-known hospital in the city. Roy is very much interested as he wants something new in his career. Teaching has always been an interest of him and he once did it for two summers teaching remedial classes.

If like Roy you are also interested in polishing your consultant interview preparation and medical teaching skills, go to www.MedicalInterviewsUK.co.uk and enroll. There are also medical management course and teach the teacher course for those who want to know and learn more. Go ahead and take a career shift in the medical field. Take a new path and see where it leads you.

My daily prayer

January 15th, 2012

Praying kid
good prayer

Every single day I pray that I become a better person worthy of His love. It’s so hard to become a good person these days because of the many negative stuff floating around. But as I said, I am trying…

What I do is try to ignore the neighbors that annoy me. I try to block out the noise they make specially on weekends. I try to forget the things I hear and just mind my own business. That’s what I also tell my dad and my siblings.

I am getting a lot of negative vibes via Facebook so what I did I tried deactivating my account but I realized right away that Facebook is also a means of getting in touch with everyone so I backtracked and activated my account again. What I do now is I open my account from time to time and just browse the important stuff and then log off as soon as I can. I also stopped posting anything and leaving comments and liking posts for now. Until I can get everything straight in my mind (and heart) about some people in my account (that I can’t delete for reasons I can’t divulge).

I am very opinionated and I get angry over a lot of things happening in the government here and abroad. Instead of making myself sick with anger over stuff I have no control of, I now promise myself I will keep my cool over politics and government issues.

And lastly, I may not be as big a help as those philanthropists out there but I try to help the world in my own little ways.

What’s your daily prayer?

Happy Sunday everyone!

;)
